DoTM opens online theory-test booking for Bagmati province
Learner-licence theory test slots can now be booked through dotm.gov.np for all 13 districts of Bagmati. Walk-ins remain closed for the time being.
A citizen-made knowledge base for digital services of the Government of Nepal — passport renewals, PAN registration, driving licence, voter ID, land records and more. Step-by-step guides, required documents, exact fees and live portal status, all in one place.
We organize 214 guides around the things citizens actually do — start a business, move house, lose a document, get married. Not the org chart that issues the paperwork.
Every guide is checked by two contributors against the official portal before publishing — and re-verified each quarter.
The Department of National ID and Civil Registration is enrolling citizens ward-by-ward. If your ward is already covered, you can pre-fill the form online — saving 30–45 minutes at the camp. Here's the full process from booking to collection, written for first-time applicants.
Open donidcr.gov.np/wards and search your municipality. Wards marked Active accept walk-ins on listed days.
Use your citizenship number to start. The form auto-fills your name, ward and date of birth from civil records. Review carefully — corrections after enrolment take 60+ days.
Bring originals of every document you uploaded. The operator will scan and return them within minutes. Carry a pen.
Ten fingerprints, both irises, a fresh photo, and a digital signature. Wear plain clothing — no glasses or hats during the photo.
This slip is your proof until the NID arrives. Keep both physical & photo copies — banks accept it temporarily for KYC.
You'll get an SMS in 14–21 days. Collection is from the ward office, in person, with the slip and a piece of photo ID.
We ping 38 government portals every 4 minutes from Kathmandu and Biratnagar. No more wasted afternoons.
The two we watch most closely — the National ID portal and Inland Revenue's PAN service — are healthy. One portal is in scheduled maintenance, one is degraded.
Plain language, verified twice, and dated. Every guide tells you when it was last walked through end-to-end.
Anyone who's just been through the process can share what they did, the dead-ends they hit, and the fees they paid.
Open intakeOne walks the official portal independently; another cross-checks the gazette & current fee circulars.
Double checkEvery guide ships in English and नेपाली, with key terms kept side-by-side for the Devanagari script.
EN · नेपालीIf a portal changes, the badge on the guide turns amber until a fresh walk-through is logged.
Quarterly auditAcross 12 service categories, from citizenship to foreign employment.
Every ministry-level digital service we've found and verified.
From all 7 provinces, plus diaspora in 14 countries.

Government services move quietly. We track the changes so you don't show up with the wrong paperwork.
Learner-licence theory test slots can now be booked through dotm.gov.np for all 13 districts of Bagmati. Walk-ins remain closed for the time being.
Kathmandu Metropolitan and 18 other municipalities now accept property tax through eSewa. We walk through it with a real ward-3 example.
ird.gov.np will be intermittently unavailable from 10pm Saturday to 2am Sunday for a database upgrade. Plan first-time PAN applications around it.
The best guides come from people fresh out of the queue. Share a 5-minute write-up, a screenshot, or just the fee you were charged — our editors take it from there.
